ABOUT US

TOHUWABOHU is a Kraków-based ensemble rooted in klezmer, folk, and swing traditions. We perform across the city – from concert halls and local restaurants to the iconic streets of Kazimierz.
Our sound blends tradition with fresh energy, and every performance is shaped by the unique backgrounds of our musicians:

Kasia – vocals & tambourine
A graduate of the Krakow School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. Her expressive voice and rhythmic presence give the band its charismatic front.

Oksana – violin
Deeply connected to the klezmer community, she brings authenticity, emotion, and virtuosity to the ensemble’s melodic core.

Bartek – clarinet
Originally trained as a saxophonist at KSJiMR and experienced in brass orchestras. His clarinet lines blend classical technique with folk warmth.

Piotr – accordion
The harmonic backbone of the group. His accordion adds color, drive, and a distinctive Eastern-European atmosphere.

Dominik – percussion, cajon & guitar
A KSJiMR vocal student with a strong rhythmic sensibility. He supports the band with groove, texture, and versatility.

Together, we create music that is both traditional and contemporary – perfect for dancing, listening, celebrating, or simply enjoying a lively evening.
